Mala: Well, Cheng said that red scares off Nian, but Guo Ye said that people weren't allowed to wear red any more. So I was thinking that they could stain their clothes with tomato sauce, and then Nian would be afraid and run away. But there were no tomatoes or cranberries or anything, and Guo Ye took all the fireworks and dumped them in the river, so there's nothing to scare Nian off with.
